Noticing Joy in the Everyday
Share
The first sip of coffee in the morning.
A quiet sunrise.
A deep, uninterrupted conversation with a friend.
Watching my children do what they love.
New seasons.
Christmas lights.
One-on-one time with my babes.
These are the moments that bring me joy. And yet, in the busyness of life, I don’t always stop to notice them.
Have you ever paused to truly consider the question, “What brings me joy?” I hadn’t either—at least not in an intentional way. But I’ve learned that when I make it a regular practice, my heart shifts from focusing on what I lack to embracing gratitude.
If you, like me, have struggled with busyness and discontentment, I have a challenge for you this March (I’m committing too!): Take note of the joy you recognize each day—both big and small.
At the end of the month, take a moment to reflect on your joy-filled moments. Let it serve as a gentle reminder that even in hard seasons, joy is always present, and God is always faithful.
I’d love to hear what joy looks like for you in this season. Share in the Comment section below—I would be honored to read your reflections!
